4th of July Celebrations will be on Sunday, July 4th!!

All 4th of July celebrations will take place on Sunday, July 4th. The parade will start at 12Noon on Historic Main Street. The Ice Cream Social will be 11am -2pm on the Court House lawn. Stipes Carnival will be in Ashland near the Bay Area Civic Center July 1st through the 4th. The Historical Society Museum Cemetery Walk will be at Mount Hope at 2pm. In the evening the Chequamegon Bay Band Concert will be at Memorial Park at 8pm. The Fire Run is at 9:45pm followed by the Fire Works. For more information call the Ashland Chamber at 715-682-2500.

Relay for Life is June 11th and 12th and has been moved to the Bay Area Civic Center due to possible storms in the forecast for Fri. Everything starts at 6pm Friday. Enjoy the festival atmosphere with a dance, games, food, speakers, and much more. You can join others in the walk or just sit back and enjoy this great event and fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, Ashland and Bayfield County.

Relay for Life, June 11th and 12th

Relay for Life Walk and Festival is June 11th and 12th at Kreher Park in Ashland. Everything starts at 6pm on Friday and ends at 10am on Saturday. Stop down and enjoy the festival atmosphere with games, food, speakers, music, and much more. You can join others in the walk or just sit back and enjoy this great event and fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, Ashland and Bayfield County. Ribbon Cutting Today, June 4th

There will be a Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening today, June 4th at 12Noon at Ashland Area Quilt and Fabric Company, 805 West Lake Shore Drive. Stop in and say hi to Barb and her staff and learn about quilting!

Ashland Wisconsin, Lake Superior’s Hometown…..Come and Fish the Big Lake soon!!!

Local fishermen are reporting the Small Mouth Bass are biting and producing excellent fishing right now. Fishermen are out fishing for walleyes and having good results. There are reports of Northerns being caught along the shoreline and fishing has been good both at dawn and dusk. A fishing trip on the Big Lake will be productive with many species of fish biting right now!

Dock Dogs are Coming to Ashland, May 14-16!!

The Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce and Wisconsin DockDogs will present DockDogs, “Ashland Border Battle” (WI vs. MN), May 14-16 at the Bay Area Civic Center, 320 4th Ave. West. This will be the first time DockDogs has come to Ashland with an exciting schedule planned for all three days. The Ashland Chamber looks forward to partnering with Wisconsin DockDogs and welcoming a new audience to the flying dogs 3-day action packed competition. The sport of DockDogs is surrounded by a 100% positive environment and a great way to get started in dog sports.  Competitions are comprised of Big Air, Speed Retrieve, Open Dock and Extreme Vertical. We encourage dog owners and “local residents” to register your dog online at www.dockdogs.com for “Newbie Night” on Friday, May 14th.
